Like to become a consultant?

Consultants at the learning commons know how to interact with their peers in a supportive, non-judgmental way. They also know a lot about their subject matter and are always eager to learn more. The various branches of the learning commons have different ways of determining who will be a consultant, but most consultants are selected after receiving a faculty recommendation and going through an interview. They then undergo training to help them prepare to work as consultants.

Applications for writing consultants are due at the beginning of each spring semester. Fill out an application, get one letter of recommendation from a faculty member (only necessary if you weren't nominated by a faculty member), and include a writing sample and send it to Ann Bomberger (ann.bomberger@allegheny.edu, box 95, 208 Oddfellows).
