Get a Paper Critiqued
You can take advantage of the free writing consultation that Allegheny offers to all of our students. Writing consultants are happy to meet with students one-on-one, read a draft of your paper, and talk with you about any writing-related concerns you may have. To start, all you have to do is schedule an appointment with a writing consultant or just drop by the Learning Commons Sunday-Thursday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. or between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Bring:
- your draft
- the assignment
- and any notes you've taken.

If you think you're prepared to work extensively on improving your writing or are working on your senior project, the Learning Commons can provide you with a matched consultant. A matched consultant serves as your personal writing consultant. You meet regularly at mutually convenient times to go over course papers and to work on the specific writing issues you want to address.
*The last day to sign up for a matched writing consultant this semester was September 26, 2009.
