Subject Tutoring and Consultation

Subject area tutors hold regular hours in various academic buildings throughout the semester. Tutoring schedules are posted online, in the Learning Commons, and across campus. Subject tutoring begins at the beginning of the second full week of classes each semester. Arrangements may be made for individual tutoring if more intensive assistance is needed. Simply visit the Learning Commons to complete a request.

Peer consultants for writing, speaking, and technology projects or tutors in academic subject areas are available through the Learning Commons. Consultants in writing, speaking, and technology are selected and trained by the Learning Commons staff, and subject area tutors are recommended by faculty in those areas. Students who need more help than can be provided by consultants, tutors, and their course instructors, are encouraged to contact the professional staff in the Learning Commons to arrange individual assistance.

Beginning the second full week of the semester, writing, speaking, and technology consultants are available by appointment and on a drop-in basis Sunday to Thursday from 3-5 and 7-11 in the Learning Commons on the second floor of Pelletier Library.
